美国东部时间7月21日中午，第28届MTV音乐录影带大奖(MTV Video Music Awards)提名刚刚揭晓，美国超人气新晋女歌手凯蒂·佩里(Katy Perry)得到了9项提名，成为本届MTV音乐录像大奖获提名最多的艺人。此外，在过去一年中人气急升的英国灵歌小天后阿黛勒(Adele)也以7项提名紧随其后。至于男歌手方面，说唱巨星坎耶·韦斯特(Kanye West)则获得7项提名，其中包括最佳合作和最佳男歌手录影带等奖项提名。
据悉，今年凯蒂·佩里凭借个人热门单曲《E.T》和《Firework》在本届VMA大放异彩，分别入围最佳女歌手录影带、年度最佳录影带、最佳流行录影带等奖项。对此，凯蒂·佩里接受MTV采访时表示：“我从来没有想过能够发生这样的事情。最后，我非常感谢MTV。”
紧接凯蒂·佩里之后，阿黛勒凭借大获成功的热门单曲《Rolling In The Deep》入围年度最佳录像带以及最佳流行录像带等7项大奖。而坎耶·韦斯特获得7项提名会成为今年获得最多提名奖项的男歌手，其中他凭借和凯蒂·佩里合作的热门单曲《E.T》入围最佳合作录影带大奖，而凭借《All Of The Lights》入围最佳男歌手录影带等奖项。
据悉，一年一度的音乐录影带大奖(VMA)是美国最受欢迎的流行音乐颁奖礼之一，今年VMA音乐奖的颁奖礼将于美国当地时间8月28日周日在洛杉矶诺基亚剧院(NokiaTheatre)举行，而美国著名说唱歌手李尔·韦恩(LilWayne)将获邀担任表演嘉宾出席2011年MTV音乐录像带颁奖礼。
